About Us

The Bay of Islands Lodge offers holiday and group accommodation.

Your hosts, Travis and Paige, can’t wait to greet you with a warm welcome and would be happy to provide you with local knowledge and tips on the best places to visit, adventure, and eat during your stay. The Bay of Islands Lodge is family-owned and operated, in the heart of Northland’s Paihia that was previously ran for 11 years by Andy (Travis’s father) and Lynne.

After travelling 40+ countries together Tavis and Paige were able to identify what they found important in accommodations and are proud of the high standards in cleanliness, manaakitanga (hospitality) and kaitiakitanga (environmental care) central to the lodge.

The Lodge offers 12 private rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, that vary in format to meet everyone’s needs. From queen rooms to family rooms that fit 6 people. As Travis and Paige believe that travel and exposure to different cultures is an important part in life, they have priced the lodge to be budget friendly, allowing everyone the opportunity to see the beauty, nature, and history of the Bay of Islands.

The Bay of Islands solar-powered lodge offers the opportunity for exclusive use bookings where you can rent the entire lodge to have sole use of all rooms and facilities. This includes our large communal kitchen, cozy lounge, and outdoor courtyard with barbeque where you can relax, connect and enjoy the evening after days spent exploring the Bay of Islands. We can accommodate up to 34 people at our lodge.

Travis and Paige, your hosts at Bay of Islands Lodge, are committed to the Māori principals of Manaakitanga (hospitality) and kaitiakitanga (environmental care) in everything they do.
